My name is Shannon Penn, and I am asking for your vote to serve as your next Sheriff.
I am not running because I’m a politician. I’m running because I’m a seasoned 35-year lawman (33 years with Rankin County Sheriff's Office) who believes the Sheriff’s Office should always serve the people with honesty, integrity, accountability, and transparency.
My 30 years of CEO experience running multiple successful businesses in Rankin County demonstrate my ability to improve the efficiency of the Sheriff’s Department.
Over the years, I have seen firsthand how important public trust is. When citizens trust their Sheriff’s Office, communities are safer, deputies are more effective, and families feel confident that they are being treated fairly and with respect.
If elected, my commitment to you is simple:
● Restore Trust by leading with honesty and integrity every day.
● Demand Accountability at every level of the Sheriff’s Office, beginning with the Sheriff.
● Operate with Transparency so citizens know their government is working for them.
● Support Our Deputies by providing strong leadership, quality training, and the resources they need to protect our community.
● Put Public Safety First by focusing on reducing crime, supporting victims, and building partnerships throughout our county.
I believe the Sheriff should be visible, accessible, and accountable to the people—not just during election season, but every day in office.
This campaign isn’t about politics. It’s about service.
